Hey all! So I have this friend who needs to leave her husband. To put it as nicely as possible, he’s a blazing asshole. They are supposed to go on a trip next week. She found out today she has lymphoma. He screamed at her because she’s now ruining the vacation because she won’t be able to go and he said that she always has some emergency. I told her she needs to get out and come stay with me right now and that he can go at f himself. Am I out of line? This is the latest in a long string of him acting like this.

Unless her health insurance is through him I agree 10000%
Lymphoma isn't a joke. Could be managed no big deal, could be a long road with bone marrow transplant and years of chemo. If her oncologist says treatment now which often happens with a new dx and hospital admission. If labs stable and an appt I. 2 weeks then I would calm and confirm safe for a trip if she really wants to go.

She’s at my house now. She said she had not canceled, but he started berating her telling her that she ruins everything and she was ruining the trip like she wished this upon herself. I told her that is a reason not to go and a reason to leave him. This is amongst the long list of things therefore my tolerance for him is nonexistent. I believe she covers her own health insurance.

What a douchecanoe. Glad she has you as a friend to support her.

Make sure her medical insurance is set and then help her move out.

I am just sitting here saying "wow" over and over. What a jerk.

Glad she has you.
Sounds like classic narcissistic behavior.
Prayers she gets appts and plan soon and she does great.
